Youngmindsyoungminds.org.uk – a charity for  improving the wellbeing and mental health of children and young people. Offers free online training and information on mental health issues for young people and their families. Also specific coping strategies for managing self-harm and information on medication.

Mindmind.org.uk – Mental health charity that provides extensive information on most mental health issues and has an online and 24 hour phone chat support service.

Childlinechildline.org.uk – charity service provided by the NSPCC for children. Offers information and advice on issues relevant to children like bullying, friendships, substance misuse. Also offers an online chat and phone service for support.

National Autistic Societyautism.org.uk – Uk charity for those with autism and other social communication disorders and their families. Provides detailed information on the conditions, information on the relevant helpful strategies and therapeutic approaches, has an online shop that sells relevant books and resources and a helpline.

Provides leaflets and resources on many mental health conditions affecting young people.

Ryan Lowe – Ask a child therapist – http://www.askachildtherapist.com – Ryan is a highly experienced child psychotherapist and provides a general service for parents to promote their understanding of their child, that will enable them to generate helpful solutions to problems they are dealing with.
